Waitangi is where NZ's founding document, the Treaty of Waitangi, was signed in 1840. Some of New Zealand's oldest buildings are found in the Bay of Islands. Desirable Kerikeri is one of NZ's fastest growing towns and a horticultural hub with significant orchard plantings.
