The following events happen annually and usually around the same time of year, for further informations and dates on these please contact the Hokianga Information Centre and they will only be too happy to help:

  • Opononi Fishing Competition - early January
  • Mitimiti Horse Races - early January
  • Hokianga Classic Golf Tournament - Jan/Feb
  • Kohukohu Fishing Competition - Jan/Feb
  • Horeke Regata - usually Jan/Feb
  • Hokianga Harbour Swim - Feb/Mar
  • Broadwood AMP Show - Feb/Mar
  • Kohukohu Celtic Festival - April
  • Rawene Christmas Parade - usually last Saturday before Christmas

MID NORTH GOT TALENT
Express is a performing arts opportunity for young people in the mid-north to express the God given talent he has given. Auditions will be held every Tuesday at the Castle Duo Picture Theater in Kaikohe for a series of weeks, entry of $2and then some of the best of those different categories will be asked to perform on a set Friday night entrants will perform and are judged. Northland Kauri Coast Safari 2011
Jan 15-21: Northland Kauri Coast Safari 2011 In association with the Kauri Coast 4WD Club. From Dargaville through awesome beach and forest country, the safari will end on Friday. Local schools are used for overnight camping and the schools provide a meal every night.
