We are a growing Aero Club and we invite you to come to the airfield and check us out- you'll find it really is easy to learn to fly and enjoy aviation!
The clubhouse is located on the right hand side of the main terminal at the Bay of Islands Airport, 2 km along Wiroa Road from S.H. 10. Go straight across S.H. 10 if driving from Kerikeri, otherwise turn away from Kerikeri into Wiroa Rd. at the roundabout.
Members meet on Sundays (weather permitting) where our aircraft may be hired out by you or flown with our qualified instructor. Other days of the week by prior arrangement.
Rates/hr. :- (landing fee and GST inclusive)
- Tecnam Golf 2-seater - shown abov - $100/hr.( + instructor ) A short term membership fee is also necessary to fly the aircraft solo. Rates vary, pls. enquire.
- This is also available for Commercial Charter and Photography ( canopy can be opened in flight) at a commercial rate of $130 plus pilot charge
- Sept. 2009 - a Cessna 172 is currently available, pls. telephone one of the General Aviation Instructors ( below ) for details.
- A variety of Members private aircraft are based at Kerikeri, Microlights and Homebuilts.
It is hoped to soon re-start our Get-Together dinners every 1st Sunday and 3rd Sundays of the month at our large clubhouse.
The clubhouse is also available for private functions. Committee meetings are held on the 3rd Sunday of the month from 4.30pm onwards, all members welcome.
