Services
1. Areas contracted with CYFS (Department of Child, Youth & Family Services)
Providing rape and sexual abuse counselling.
Home based support and skills development services (for families at risk or in crisis).
Provision of short term accommodation.
Intensive multi-faceted support to families experiencing more than accommodation difficulties.
2. Counselling for the Family Court
Includes relationship, custody, access, matrimonial split and settlement issues.
3. General Counselling
Includes anger management, grief, and alcohol and drug abuse counselling.
Clients
Te Kauhanga Nui provides services to predominantly Maori clients, but also to a wide spectrum of cultures. The name means the "counsellors of all people". Clients may be referred or contact the service directly themselves. All are welcome.
Hours
9-4pm, Monday to Friday; or, all welcome when the door is open.
