The township contains sixteen parks and reserves
covering an area of 58 hectares. Three reserves - Harding Park and the Mt Wesley
and R.S.A. Cemeteries are in the rural area and the town itself has 24 hectares
of reserve land.
About 19 hectares for recreational and open space activities has been
developed. The figure does not include private sports grounds and school playing
fields which also contribute to the open space network in the town.
