Haruru and Russell residents will soon be kicking up their heels on new footpaths. The works are just two of at least five footpath projects due to get underway in the next few months across the Far North.
From Monday 8 April a limited selection of books from the Childrens’ and Adult Fiction sections will be available while the existing tin roof is removed and rafters are upgraded.
More than $30,000 will be distributed to Far North groups following meetings held this month by the district’s three community boards.

Young people who want their voices heard now have the chance to stand up for their communities on the Far North Youth Council (FNYC).
Library customers are being urged to stock up on Easter reading with Far North libraries closing their doors over the long weekend. All six libraries will be closed from Friday 29 March to Monday 1 April. Normal opening hours will resume on Tuesday 2 April.
